What is Excelerate?

Excelerate is your very own learning management system meant to power your career and educational aspirations in research. We are here to help you gain your research certification, and bring you courses and connections to better position you as an industry leader. We hope to bring you truly accelerated excellence in research through MRIA's Excelerate program. Whether you are a learner or a teacher, there is an opportunity for everyone to meet their professional outcomes here.

Do I have to be an MRIA member to sign up for an account?

Answer

Anyone can create an account on Excelerate. However, current MRIA members, CMRP holders and all those registered to sit for the upcoming exam enjoy access to the member-exclusive areas that help them level up with courses, exam preparation, sample exam questions, and other collaboration opportunities. As a non-member you can still create an account and learn from our stream of webinars, pay as you go for courses in the future, etc. Sign up for MRIA Communications to make sure you are up to date with all our news and developments.

How much does it cost to be an MRIA member to gain access to member-exclusive sections?

How long is the research certification process once I register to give the CMRE?

Answer

That would depend on your exam pathway. Look at the three different options here and review what might apply to your situation: https://excelerate.mria-arim.ca/course/index.php?categoryid=1 Postgraduate Pathway - If you sit for this year's fall exam (Part B only) on November 25th, you will likely receive your results before the Winter Holidays! Exam Pathway - Same as above, except you will be giving both Part A and Part B of the exam, over a two-day period i.e., November 25, and November 26. You will hear back before the holidays. Experienced Pathway - Past applicants who went this route received their certification with the span of 3-4 weeks or less. Expect similar speed and efficiency so long as your documents are all well in order. If you have more questions please feel free to e-mail excelerate@mria-arim.ca or info@mria-arim.ca.

What is the points system?

Answer

The Excelerate's incentive program that awards you points for every time you meet a milestone or learning outcome from a pick of activities like watching a webinar, enrolling in a course, teaching a course, registering for the CMRE, appearing for the exam, contributing to the forum, etc. Rise in the ranks with your new and inspiring learning journeys through Excelerate. We toast your research successes and want to reward you for every little win and the big ones too. Points you gain here have the potential of later counting towards the maintenance of your certification, membership and other exclusive opportunities.
